Meet Our Staff |
Our dedicated staff and wonderful patients have made Fourroux Prosthetics what we are today. Since our establishment, our goal has been to build lifelong relationships with our patients and their families. By providing each patient with world class care and utilizing the most innovative techniques, Fourroux’s staff serves the needs of each individual patient. Marvin Fourroux, CPO, owner and president, is an ABC certified practitioner in orthotics and prosthetics with over 30 years experience. Marvin is the second generation owner of Fourroux Prosthetics, Inc. Marvin brought Fourroux Prosthetics to the forefront of O&P design and fabrication technology by incorporation of state-of-the-art CAD/CAM systems. He is a member in good standing of the ABC and of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP.) Marvin is also a member of the Alabama Prosthetic and Orthotic Association (APOA.) He has served as president of APOA in the early 1990’s, and is currently serving a three year term on the APOA Board of Directors. Marvin has also worked closely with NASA researchers in the development of unique-use mechanical arm devices. Keith Watson, CPO, owner and vice president , inventor and patent holder for the method of automated design in orthotics and prosthetics used at Fourroux Prosthetics. He is an ABC certified practitioner in orthotics and prosthetics. He has been with Fourroux for over 10 years. He is one of the few practitioners in the country who is certified in the upper extremity myoelectric fittings as well as the newest microprocessor controlled prosthetic knee systems. Keith was the first C-Leg certified provider in North Alabama; he directed the advancements in CAD/CAM technologies, pioneered the FREEDOM SYSTEMS™ in North America, and developed the BK Today™, AK Today™, and AFO Today™ processes. Keith is also a presenter at the AAOP and AOPA National Conferences and has written publications in several magazines. Kim Duckett, CP, Lead Prosthetist, is an ABC and BOC certified Prosthetist. Kim is a 30 year above knee (AK) amputee and is currently wearing the C-Leg. He lives a very active life that consists of farming, hunting,. fishing, coaching and many more activities. Kim has participated in the development of new innovative approaches in the O&P industry. He is dedicated to testing manufacturers’ components to help other patients. Kim also speaks at most of our seminars and conferences that we attend. He has a special gift of grasping everyone's attention as he speaks. As part of his mission to help other amputees, Kim offers amputee counseling and support to all amputees and their families. Scott Waite, Physical Therapist, is a Board Certified Physical Therapist who possesses a Master of Physical Therapy. Scott has over 7 years experience in physical therapy and has been with Fourroux for over 4 years. He has worked exclusively with our prosthetic, orthotic, and scoliosis patients. He specializes in prosthetic/orthotic gait training, upper extremity prosthetic training, and idiopathic scoliosis treatment.
