Cosmetic ApplicationAfter spending the remainder of your second day and evening in your NEW customized prosthesis, your final day begins gathering any additional feedback on fit and function of your new prosthesis. If necessary, any additional fitting and alignment concerns are discussed, evaluated, and made.Should you choose to have a cosmetic cover applied to your NEW prosthesis, options are discussed and the fabrication of your cosmesis would begin. In just a few short hours, you are presented with your NEW finished prosthetic device. Final EvaluationA final evaluation takes place between you and your Fourroux Prosthetics practitioner. You may set prosthetic goals or achievements that you would like to reach. You may discuss prosthetic usage techniques to assist you in everyday life. It is a time for you to ask any questions before you leave and begin using your NEW customized prosthesis.Therapy ServicesIf you choose, or if you are in need of therapy services, Fourroux Prosthetics incorporates an on-site Physical Therapy program. On staff Physical Therapists assist amputees by teaching them how to walk correctly with their new prosthesis. A customized physical therapy program is developed for each patient to increase their mobility, their range of motion, and to rehabilitate existing habits that may be inhibiting the quality of life they desire. Follow-UpEvery patient that comes to Fourroux Prosthetics is given the necessary tools to be successful as an amputee. Over time however, changes do occur and technology does improve. A customized follow-up plan is designed and prepared for each individual patient to insure that they have the capabilities to lead a functional and quality life now and in the future. |
